I am Associate Professor of Political Science
at the Department of Political Science, University of Perugia (Italy)
Previously I worked as a Senior Researcher of Political Science at the Eurac Research Institute in Bolzano/Bozen, at the Institute for Comparative Federalism,
My first job was as an Assistant Professor for Political Science at the University of Naples Federico II.
I researched and taught at several universities in Europe (Sciences-Po Paris in France; Freie Uni Berlin, Uni Postdam, Uni Dresden, Uni Giessen in Germany; Uni Granada, Uni Sevilla, ICPS Barcelona in Spain; Uni Athens in Greece)
the United States (Cornell University, NY; University of Texas at Austin, TX; Grand Valley State University, MI),
and South America (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad Nacional Guillermo Brown, Argentina).
My main research interests revolve around local government, comparative political systems, and elections.
I am Editor-in-Chief of the Italian Journal of Electoral Studies - Quaderni dell'Osservatorio elettorale (IJES-QOE),
Convenor of the Standing Group on Parties, Public Opinion, Elections (POPE) of the Italian Association of Political Science (SISP),
Board Member of the Research Committee RC05 on Comparative Studies on Local Government and Politics of the International Political Science Association (IPSA),
and Chair of the Standing Group Local Government and Politics of the European Consortium For Political Research (ECPR).
I am also a lecturer at the National School of Administration (SNA) of the Ministry of the Interior.
